Monée Nelson was born in Toronto, Canada in 1995 and grew up in Jamaica. When she was 16 years old she was sent away to finish high school and moved to Canada where she has been living ever since. She speaks English and knows French, Spanish and Jamaican Patois. She is a model with Orange Model Management. Monée went to Humber College where she pursued a diploma in Early Childhood Education. While going to college she was the victim of a crime.As a victim she wants to stop victim blaming. She plans to volunteer with a Victim Services organization with the goal to stop victim blaming. If she wins, she will use the title to advocate for victims. In her past years of charity work and community involvement, Monée has worked with numerous organizations such as Diabetes Canada, Brampton Safe City, ECLYPSE Youth Centre, Ontario Early Years Centre and Seva Food Bank. She loves to share her gift of writing by performing at schools. Through entering the pageant, she hopes to make friends, make connections, learn how to do makeup and travel to different countries. An Exemplary Student Award student and talented writer, Monée also enjoys listening to music, watching movies, journaling and going to the amusement park.
