Asma, a woman of many facets... Arriving in Canada in 2010, she chose to pursue her studies at the School of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. Upon completion of her studies, she became a speech-language pathologist.

Every day, Asma sees many patients of all ages, people who have difficulty communicating. She also works as a research assistant at the university. She is involved in a project to help children with developmental language difficulties.

When Covid started to spread around the world, many people chose to stay on their own for fear of infection. Asma volunteered to do screening. It was her way of contributing to the eradication of the pandemic.

Asma performs a variety of roles, but her life's work is that of a 'mother'. She is a single mother of five children. She does her best to pass on the values of love and care to her children.

Asma is also a member of the association "Enfants Soleil". A few years ago, the young mother spent several months in hospital to look after her triplets who were born prematurely. Having gone through this painful experience herself, she understands the distress experienced by sick children and their parents.

She volunteered with a community organisation supporting refugee children. She helped the families improve their communication skills to give them a better chance to succeed in school and in their social life.

Asma plays the violin and

tennis. She loves to dance and travel, not to mention her passion for design and fashion. But what she enjoys most is being with her family.

By participating in this competition, Asma wants to show her children that no matter where she comes from or what difficulties she has been through, she is moving forward to achieve her dreams!
