Jorja is a 16 year old Indigenous Women, born in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. She is a member of Saddle Lake Cree Nation. English is her main language but is continuing to learn to speak Cree. Jorja will be going into 11th grade this year. Her hobbies include baking, shopping, cosmetology, fishing, hunting and spending time with her family at home or out with friends. She enjoys practicing her makeup skills, taking drives in the country & living the life she deserves. This summer Jorja had spent most of her time working, babysitting, spending time with friends and family. She also travelled to Fort Chipewyan this summer to visit her mother. During this visit she had learned more about the land as she went hunting, fishing & exploring the bush life. Jorja likes to help out when ever she can ,she has a part time job after school yet always willing to help out at home with the family or with her friends. She has joined the pageant in hopes to step out of her comfort zone with public speaking, to gain new experiences and opportunities as well as gain confidence. She hopes to make new friends in the modelling industry. Jorja aspires to become a cosmetologist. She likes making people happy with themselves by doing cosmetology. She thinks it’s a little step into making people happy. Those who know Jorja know that she is very outstanding and caring. |
