Valmire was born and raised in Kosovo until immigrating to Canada with her family at the age of ten. Valmire is currently pursuing a career as a lash technician with hopes to eventually open her own health & wellness spa. Valmire is an active consultant with Beautycounter, a B-certified corporation on a mission to get safe products into the hands of everyone. Throughout her partnership with this ultra-clean company, Valmire has taken part in initiatives such as: advocating for safer beauty laws, responsible sourcing and sustainable packaging, protecting our planet through climate-sensitive action & working towards eliminating their carbon footprint altogether. After experiencing the war, suffering the loss of loved ones to battle or mental illness, coupled with her own trials and tribulations with depression and anxiety throughout her life, Valmire is dedicated to start an open conversation about the freedom to deal with mental health challenges, ending the stigma surrounding seeking help, and the importance of forgiving both ourselves and others. In her down time, Valmire is often found with her nose in a book or enveloped in her biggest passion - writing. At the young age of 13, Valmire became a published writer - her piece titled, “What Fear Is”, portrays the realities of war through a child’s eyes and can be found in the Saskatchewan Book of Young Writers. Valmire is currently working on a novel titled, “Don’t Put Me Back on the Shelf”. Valmire’s biggest inspiration in her journey to making a difference comes from her beautiful four-year old daughter, as she hopes to raise the next generation to be mentally strong individuals. Her hope is to empower the younger generation to openly speak about their mental health challenges, and to have accessible resources to help them, should they struggle in the future.
